Job Description
We need a Space Planner / Facilities Coordinator to provide dedicated facilities support to a biotech client's core business unit. This position will be the single point of contact between the executives, management and staff of the internal clients and the managers, contractors and maintenance crews of the Facilities Department.
OUTSTANDING INTERPERSONAL SKILLS ARE MANDATORY.
The position requires a mature, experienced, professional Space Planner whose responsibilities include:
Planning
> Identifying the short and long term space needs of the business unit in conjunction with the department management;
> Working with the Strategic Planning Group to develop ideas, space allocation plans, alternatives and schematic plans to meet the short and long term needs of the operations department;
> Representing the business unit as the primary contact for all facilities projects including design, construction and furniture reconfigurations;
> Coordinating with the corporate move team all moves related to the department ranging from one person to several hundred;
> Develop and implement Space Guidelines, New Hire/Space Allocation reports, and maintain new hire/departing employee’s email distribution lists;
General
> Working with all personnel, regardless of position, in professional, positive manner to address all issues promptly and effectively;
> Performing additional duties as assigned from time to time.

Education / Experience
BIOTECH / HOSPITAL / RESEARCH LAB EXPERIENCE IS STRONGLY PREFERRED.
Due to the demands and responsibilities of managing high value projects, independently, with minimal supervision, this position requires a Degree or Certificate in space planning, interior design, or interior architecture from an accredited college or university plus 7 years related experience; or equivalent education and experience as determined by Corporate Facility Services.
