Took the test a while back, and since have made this my floating library for aspiring LSAT takers. Thanks to this setup, three friends are in law school. I'll be happy to show you what study schedule and approach I used to go from a 163 to a 171 (and yes, I can show you a copy of my score if it helps convince you).

What's included:

(1) Kaplan books from full prepcourse:

These are the books from the course they charge over $1000 to take. If you can read on your own schedule, and don't need a teacher walking you through the material, these alone are worth the price.

(2) Kaplan LSAT 180 (2006 version): a series of the hardest questions to really get you ready. I highly recommend this book

(3) Kaplan 2006 LSAT guide - Premier edition: stand-alone guide to studying for the LSAT

(4) Princeton Review: Cracking the LSAT (2003): I found it handy to have multiple versions of LSAT books, each teaches a different approach and attitude. By noticing the differences in each approach (and their sample question types), you will have a better handle on things come test time.

(5) The Next 10 Actual, Official LSAT preptests (only the real exams will give you actual experience). Honestly, Kaplan and every other test book are only using sample or similar questions. The LSAC provides actual tests with real questions. Once you are really in the zone, you will notice the difference between these and the prep questions. After you've read up on the guides, taking these tests is the best practice you can have.

(6) LSAT 45: ordered directly from LSAC

CAVEAT: The Kaplan Lesson Book (main one used in course) is marked up. I wouldn't worry about it, because that one is sort of used as a read-along to the course. Kaplan tests 3 and 4 of the Kaplan series have been written in, as have 1 or 2 of the preptests (but not all). The remaining books are unmarked and will provide you more than enough material to get you prepped for this exam.

These are all grade 4.0:

4.0 VERY GOOD (VG): The average used comic book. A comic in
this grade shows some significant moderate wear, but still has not
accumulated enough total defects to reduce eye appeal to the
point that it is not a desirable copy. Cover shows moderate to significant
wear, and may be loose but not completely detached.
Moderate to extreme reduction in reflectivity. Can have an accumulation
of creases or dimples. Corners may be blunted or abraded.
Store stamps, name stamps, arrival dates, initials, etc. have no
effect on this grade. Some discoloration, fading, foxing, and even
minor soiling is allowed. As much as a 1/4� triangle can be missing
out of the corner or edge; a missing 1/8" square is also acceptable.
Only minor unobtrusive tape and other amateur repair allowed
on otherwise high grade copies. Moderate spine roll may be present
and/or a 1" spine split. Staples discolored. Minor to moderate
staple tears and stress lines may be present, as well as some rust
migration. Paper is brown but not brittle. A minor acidic odor can
be detectable. Minor to moderate tears may be present. Centerfold
may be loose or detached at one staple.

Shalom! Are you interested in moving beyond the English translation phase of your knowledge of The Book of Formation, the notorious book used to create the Golem?

Are you already familiar with the Hebrew Alef-Bayt?

My interlinear Hebrew-English translation of the 1860 Lemburg edition of Sefer Yetzirah (the edition first translated into English by I. Kalisch in 1877) allows the student to follow the text and understand it IN HEBREW. Each line contains the Hebrew word, its numerical equivalent in gematria, a transliteration to help the student pronounce the Hebrew, and a literal translation of the word into English. A Talmudic-like comparison among the Kalisch, Mordell, Friedman, Stenring, Lenowitz, Westcott, Suares, & Kaplan translations also will help orient the student to the numerous differences among the extant versions of the text.

Advanced lessons available for exploring the scholarship and commentaries: esp. the mediaeval commentary of Sa�adia Gaon and the recent editions and commentaries of Carlo Suares, Aryeh Kaplan, Moshe Idel and A.Peter Hayman (2005).

Having sold this interlinear edition of SEFER YETZIRAH through Gnosis magazine (#3�where it was reviewed by poet David Meltzer), Fields bookstore, and other metaphysical bookshops in the Chicago area (earlier editions sell for as much as $75 in collector�s specialty catalogues), I have now completed a NEW EDITION of 32 custom- made copies.

SEFER YETZIRAH is not just a book, it is a path to follow. It is not for everybody. In fact, it is for very few.

I am selling my custom-made, spiral-bound interlinear editions of SEFER YETZIRAH to only those who apply for them. The book comes with a 30-minute cassette of the text spoken in Hebrew by a Hebrew teacher in Tel Aviv. A two-hour introductory lesson also comes with the book. This instruction will familiarize you with the Hebrew alphabet and the pronunciation of the words in the text, acquaint you with the biblical/historical background (the prophetic tradition, the Merkavah mysticism of the Qumran texts and Hekhalot literature & the influence of Sefer Yetzirah on the later kabbalistic tradition).

Cost of the book with 2-hour lesson: $100. It actually costs about $30 to make each copy. Given the intensive two-hour lesson, this is a fair price. Cost of two-hour lesson without book: $50.00. Cost of book without lesson $60.00
