Rana Creek’s Living Architecture department has an immediate opening for an entry level, full time CAD Drafter. We are looking for a tech-savvy individual who can support our creative design team in the production of presentation drawings, report layouts and high-quality schematic renderings. There will be ample room to grow with our design teams’ unique style, vision, and knowledge of cutting edge ecological design concepts.
Primary duties will be the production of high quality, accurate, efficiently executed, computer generated drawings for planning review, construction and communication of complex ecological design concepts.
Candidate will work under the direction of experienced designers in a fast-paced,
deadline based, team-oriented work environment.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
preferred, but will also consider 1-3 years of related work experience.
• Proficiency and 1-3 years minimum experience in AutoCAD. Proficiency in digital drafting and graphic applications such as Vectorworks, sketchup, Adobe CS3, or Revitta a plus.
• Skills in hand drawing, as well as using digital tools.
• Familiarity with green building principles, planning, ecology, biology, landscape or building construction methods, water management, or related topics desirable.
• Strong communication skills a must.
